COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- Gov. Mark Sanford and Comptroller General Richard Eckstrom are wrapping up a two-day tour calling for spending limits and government restructuring.
Sanford, Eckstrom, a handful of legislators and the head of the South Carolina Policy Council finish the 10-stop tour Thursday in Chapin, Newberry, Buffalo in Union County, Gaffney and Rock Hill.
Sanford has been pushing for limiting state spending growth to no faster than population and inflation increases. He's also called for more public votes on bills and restructuring that will streamline government.
