Upstate Fire Kills Two

LAURENS, S.C. -- A father and his young son have died in a house fire in Laurens.

Authorities say the fire was reported Saturday morning and is under investigation.

Laurens County Coroner Nick Nichols says 29-year-old Nicholas Johnson and his 5-year-old son appeared to have died of smoke inhalation. Autopsies have been scheduled.
