Right here in South Carolina, thousands of children are in foster care who are ready to be adopted.

This week we'll follow Isabella. Isabella prefers to be called Nikki and she's a girl with a big heart.

Nikki is an outgoing 10-year-old who enjoys whatever she does.

She loves the spotlight and hopes to remain in the spotlight when she gets older by trying her hand as a musician or famous singer.

Nikki feels comfortable talking to anyone. At school she says she just sits on the monkey bars and talks to friends.

The sociable fifth grader likes to have fun, but understands when to buckle down and study. She’s an honor roll student and her favorite subject is science, “you get to do a lot with science,” she said.

Nikki has many interests. She likes reading books, riding horses, watching movies and playing games.

“I like to play basketball and cops and robbers at home,” Nikki says.

Nikki would love to join a family that offers love and support.

Right now she's in foster care, but we can change that.
