Man who robbed cash advance store on run

Lexington Police are looking for a suspect they say robbed an area Express Cash Advance on Monday morning.

Authorities say that around 10 a.m., a man went into the cash advance store on Columbia Avenue, showed a handgun and demanded money from two of the employees. 

Two area schools that were placed on lockdown as a precaution. Both have resumed normal activities.

No one was injured in the incident.

The subject was described as a black male, around 5-feet-10 inches tall, between 150 and 160 pounds, about 25 years old, wearing a multi-colored cap over short hair, large dark sunglasses, black gloves, white T-shirt, baggy jeans and white and black tennis shoes.
