COLUMBIA (WACH) - Ministers from across South Carolina gathered at the Statehouse Thursday for Clergy Day at the Dome.
The event is sponsored by the South Carolina Legislative Black Caucus and gives ministers an opportunity to discuss their concerns with lawmakers.
The ministers also took time to pray for unity, direction and protection for South Carolina.
"We are going to be able to use the faith community to get the word out they are articulating the messages. Right now, you hear a lot of misinformation that's going out. We want to be able to equip them with the truth of what's going on here in the Statehouse," said Harold Mitchell, SC Legislative Black Caucus Chairman.
The prayer was followed by a luncheon at Brookland Baptist Church.
