COLUMBIA (WACH) -- Winter weather impacted parts of the Midlands Saturday.

Some reports of snow accumulations came into WACH Fox along and north of Interstate 20.

The wintry weather has ended.

Graupel fell (looks like snow pellets or styrofoam pellets) and a few lightning strikes were detected with some convective cells.

Areas of the state have gotten anywhere from a dusting to five inches of snow. That high total comes from Chester county three miles southwest of Edgemoor.

Plenty of cold air will move in Saturday evening as temperatures will dip down to the mid-20s overnight. Winds will also pick up out of the northwest at 10-15 mph.

Be sure to use extra caution as you drive over bridges and overpasses.

Snowfall reports received:

Bishopville - 2.0"

Lugoff - 1.5"

Winnsboro - 1.0"
