GREENVILLE, SC (WACH/ AP) -- Gov. Nikki Haley is offering constitiuents in the Greenville area a chance to sit down and talk about what's on their minds.

The "open door" meetings are scheduled for Tuesday at Greenville's City Hall. Anyone interested in joining that conversation next Tuesday should call (803) 734-1999 Friday between 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.

The meetings will give people a chance to discuss any issues with Gov. Haley, says her office. Appointments are made on a first-come, first-served basis. People in the Greenville are are given a 30-minute window to reserve a slot.

The "open door after 4" sessions were started by former Gov. Mark Sanford. Haley continued the tradition.

The governor's spokesman Rob Godfrey said the meetings will be a regular event, though how regular remains uncertain. The meetings will be held over time around the state to accommodate everyone.
