LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC (WACH) - Three teens were arrested by the Lexington County Sheriff's Department Wednesday after a home break in near Gaston.

Sheriff James R. Metts says Candy Nicole Garland, 19, of Pelion, Justin Eugene Jackson, 17, of Gaston, and a 16-year-old Gaston boy were arrested Wednesday on charges that they broke into a home on Cassidy Road and stole on 19-inch television, one male pit bull dog, electronic equipment and other items.

Metts says deputies found the three teens at a home on Blackville Road after receiving information Wednesday morning that they possessed the items that had been reported stolen. Deputies recovered one speaker box, four subwoofer speakers, one dagger knife, one area rug, two bags of clothes, jewelry, make-up, and the television. The male pit bull, Jake, had been returned to the homeowners earlier in the day.

According to authorities, Garland and Jackson are being held a the Lexington County Detention Center on a $5,000 bond. The 16-year-old was transported to a pre-trial detention facility while awaiting a hearing in Lexington County family court.

Detectives recommend that the boy is prosecuted on a charge of second-degree burglary, according to Metts.

Anyone with additional information is asked to contact the sheriff's department at 803-785-8230 or CrimeStoppers at 1-888-Crime-SC.
