SPRINGDALE, SC (WACH)- The Springdale Police Department is trying to identify a suspect that robbed the Cambridge Plaza at gunpoint.

On Monday, Dec 24, 2012 Springdale Police Officers were called to the Cambridge Plaza Hotel at 650 Cherokee Lane in Springdale for an armed robbery of the business.

At approximately 1:15 pm a suspect entered the hotel lobby with a pistol and demanded money from the cash register. The suspect was described as a black male with long dread locks wearing a dark sweater with a hood, blue jeans, and white tennis shoes.

The suspect then fled with an undisclosed amount of money. Witnesses said the suspect was traveling in a light colored vehicle, possibly silver, believed to be a Dodge Stratus. The vehicle has a black driver side door and black rims with no hub caps.
