ANDERSON, S.C. (AP) -- The Anderson County coroner says both victims found stuffed in barrels in Lake Hartwell suffered traumatic deaths.

Coroner Greg Shore didn't release exactly how 37-year-old Andrea Mitchell and 52-year-old Tony McGinnis died, but said Friday their deaths have been ruled homicides.

Mitchell's body was found Wednesday in a plastic barrel that was partially submerged in the lake. Deputies returned to the lake Thursday and found McGinnis' body in a metal barrel about 10 feet below the water's surface.

No arrests have been made, but authorities say a chain saw and machetes were removed from a home in the area after a search warrant was issued.

Shore says McGinnis' body has been dismembered. The coroner says Mitchell was killed about a month ago, and McGinnis had likely been dead even longer.
