COLUMBIA (WACH) -- Columbia police have arrested a second teenager they say was involved in a September murder. The crime may also be linked to an unsolved hit and run case.

19-year-old Cheo Green is charged with murder and carjacking. Investigators say he was involved in the September 16th shooting death of Michael Davis on North Main Street.

Police have also arrested 17-year old Austin Murray in the case.

Investigators say the victim’s car may also be linked to a hit and run that critically injured a Columbia nurse that very same night.

Police say 24-year-old Lindsay Bires was hit by a white sedan around 3:00 that morning while she was standing on the sidewalk near Palmetto Health Richland.

Investigators are processing the vehicle to determine if it was involved in the hit and run.
