WEST COLUMBIA, SC (WACH) -- Smokin' at the Market Comissioners Cup BBQ Cook Off kicked off Friday at the State Farmers Market.
The event is put on by the South Carolina Department of Agriculture.
Judges will be tasting everything from butts to ribs from cooks of all skill levels.
The Southern BBQ Network has sanctioned this event.
The categroies for the Commissioners Cup include: anything butt, butts, pork ribs, grand champion, and reserver champion.
Hugh Weathers, South Carolina Comissioner of Agriculture will present awards to winners on Saturday.
The event on Saturday is from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. and costs $10 for admission.
