LEXINGTON, SC (WACH) -- The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash in Lexington County involving an ambulance.

Troopers say at about 1:19 a.m. Tuesday the ambulance, driven by 30-year-old Hugh Davis, collided with a 1984 GMC truck along Edmund Highway (SC-302). 

The Lexington County Coroner's Office reports the GMC truck's driver, Jack D. Branham, 19, of Lexington was killed and pronounced dead at the scene from head and body trauma.

The crash is under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
