One person dead in Lexington County crash

LEXINGTON COUNTY (WACH) - The Highway Patrol says one person is dead after a single-vehicle crash in Lexington County Monday before noon.

Trooper Brent Kelly says a person travelling eastbound on I-26 near mile marker 93 ran off of the roadway.

The vehicle hit a tree and burst into flames.

According to Kelly, there were no other individuals in the car.

The identity of the driver has not been released.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
