RCSD busts 4 businesses with illegal gambling machines

RICHLAND COUNTY (WACH) -- Four more businesses have been busted for having illegal gambling machines.

The Richland County Sheriff Department's Community Action Team collected 14 video poker machines and $1,400 in cash from the machines seized Thursday. Deputy Curtis Wilson said the bust began with tips from the community.

The businesses include:

7up Mini Mart-1314 Leesburg Rd. - 2 machines

CITGO-1704 Leesburg Rd. - 2 machines

Boss Hawg's Lounge-4876 Leesburg Rd. - 1 machine

Steve-O's Wings-6423 Garner's Ferry Rd. - 9 machines

Thursday's crack down is the latest in the department's effort to eliminate illegal gambling in Richland County. To date, the department has seized 55 illegal gambling machines and more than $10,000.
