Actor and musician Gary Sinise is returning to the South Carolina coast this summer for another concert to support wounded veterans.

BEAUFORT, S.C. (AP) -- Actor and musician Gary Sinise is returning to the South Carolina coast this summer for another concert to support wounded veterans.
The Beaufort Gazette reports Sinise and his Lt. Dan Band will perform Sept. 14.
For the past three years, Sinise and his band have played concerts highlighting a weekend of events for wounded veterans. This year, the event is being extended into a week of activities.
Event spokesman Dick Clarke says Sinise will perform Saturday night and organizers are trying to bring in another name band for a Friday night concert.
Sinise played the role of Lt. Dan in the movie "Forrest Gump," part of which was filmed in the Beaufort area.
