LEXINGTON (WACH) -- Hundreds lining up at the BP gas station on North Lake Drive in Lexington for free gas Thursday morning.

The event was made possible by several credit unions from around the Midlands joining together through MADTAG.

MADTAG is an ongoing campaign by the Credit Unions of South Carolina to highlight the good deeds being done in our local community, and those who are making a difference.

The first one hundred vehicles in line received $20 in free regular gas.

It all took place at the BP Station located at 1542 North Lake Drive, in Lexington.

There was a similar event like this that took place in the Pee Dee earlier this week.
