LEXINGTON, SC (WACH)- A 36-year-old year old Gaston man is under arrest in connection with the murder of a West Columbia man in 2011.
Lexington Sheriff James Metts said Jamey Charles Mallette, 36, of Gaston was arrested and charged with murder and kidnapping Michael Cody George of West Columbia.
Arrest warrants said on December 24, 2011, Mallette and an accomplice kidnapped Michael George, 22, from Shooter's bar on Charleston Highway near Cayce.
On December 18, 2012, Thomas Embree was arrested and charged with George's murder as well.
George's body has yet to be found.
