RICHLAND COUNTY (WACH) - Richland County deputies are investigating shooting that occurred Wednesday afternoon.

Deputy Curtis Wilson says a shots fired call came in from Piney Grove Road around 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Authorities say a 16-year-old victim was shot several times in the lower body.

According to deputies, the teen was out of surgery Friday morning, but is in critical condition.

Deputies are questioning witnesses at the scene.

No arrests have been made.
