GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) -- Police say a 3-year-old boy and his 7-year-old sister were playing with a gun when it fired, killing the boy in a Greenville apartment.

Investigators say the children were alone in a bedroom with the pink handgun when it fired Friday night. Their grandparents were in the living room.

Authorities say Tmorej Smith was shot in the head. They won't say who they think pulled the trigger.

Police say they are still investigating the case and no charges have been filed.
