COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- A Powerball ticket worth $40,000 and sold in Fort Mill is about to expire.

Officials with the South Carolina Education Lottery say someone bought the ticket at Gate Petroleum Co. No. 326 at 2911 Highway 160 West in Fort Mill sometime before Aug. 1, 2012.

They say the owner must collect the winnings before Jan. 28 at the Columbia Claims Center. Players have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes

The ticket matched four white ball numbers and the red Powerball number. The ticket holder purchased PowerPlay.

The winning numbers are: 3-16-48-56-58 with a Powerball of 4.
