MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (AP) -- Gov. Nikki Haley is joining officials from Google and local elected officials for what's being called a major economic development announcement at the company's campus in Berkeley County.

Google has said Friday's announcement is related to the data center at the site.

The Internet giant opened a $600 million data center on the campus five years ago. It's been building a second data center on the same site near Moncks Corner. Company officials have said that center is scheduled to open this year.

The current data center now employs about 110 workers.
