City of Columbia expires two water boil advisories

Columbia, SC (WACH)--The city of Columbia has expired two boil water advisories.

The city advises water customers that live on Azalea Drive and on the the 4200 and 4300 block of Wilmot Avenue that they no longer have to boil their water before drinking or cooking.

The Columbia Waterworks department collected bacteriological samples analyzed the water after an intense flushing of the distribution system. The advisory was in effect Saturday after a water main break on Wilmot Street.

The department has also cancelled an advisory for the 2000 and 2100 blocks of Winsor Hills Drive.
