ORANGEBURG, SC (WACH)- Orangeburg deputies have charged a man with murder in connection with the disappearance of a Lexington woman.

Kenneth Franklin Cutter, 37, of North, was arrested and charged with murder in the disappearance of Kimberly Parrish of Lexington. Orangeburg County investigators said Cutter was a male friend of Parrish’s for at least four months. Investigators recovered DNA and clothing evidence belonging to Parrish from an abandoned house near the Cutter's residence. Deputies will continue to search for Parrish’s remains using cadaver dogs, river, and air support.

Parrish was last seen on Friday, December 21, at Helping Hands Caregivers on Two Notch Road, according to Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott. Parrish has not been seen since she went to pick up her pay check from her employer between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. Friday, December 21, Lott said. Parrish lived in the Lexington area.

Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said,  “We ask hunters, farmers and anyone with land to be vigilant and contact law enforcement if they locate anything. We thank SLED, DNR, Richland County Sheriff’s Department, and the North Police Department for their assistance and resources during this investigation.”

Cutter’s arraignment will be Monday at 2:30 p.m.
