COLUMBIA (WACH) - An armed robbery suspected is wanted by the Columbia Police Department.

Police Chief Randy Scott says the robbery occurred around 9:30 a.m. Monday at the TD Bank on Broad River Road.

According to Scott, witnesses told police the suspect entered the bank, presented a handgun at a clerk and demanded money. The suspect left the scene in a small, gray or silver 4-door sedan that possibly had one or more missing hubcaps.

The suspect is described as a black male wearing all black except for a short sleeve orange shirt over a black long sleeve shirt. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a baseball cap, black pants, black shoes, black gloves and a black bandana partially covering the lower part of his face.

The suspect was captured on video cameras at the bank.

No one was injured.
