COLUMBIA (WACH) -- A Columbia kindergartner and Gamecock fan got the surprise she had been waiting for this week.

Cocky showed up during class to surprise 5-year-old Julia Palyok at Columbia Jewish Day School.

University of South Carolina junior Samantha Shealy arranged for Cocky to come to the school after meeting Julia while working on her practicum for her degree.

"Her mom said, 'Oh yes, we love Cocky and we are just dying to meet him, but it just hadn't worked out.' and in that moment, I was like, in my head, it was not if she was going to meet Cocky, but when," said Shealy.
