COLUMBIA (WACH) -- Transitions gets much need boost.

The organization received a $50,000 donation towards their 2013 budget from AGFirst Farm Credit Bank on Thursday.

The organization is dedicated to eliminating homelessness in the Midlands.

The check was presented at Transitions regular Client Graduation Program.

The money will be used for food and utility costs as well as salaries for Case Managers.

AGFirst Chief Financial Officer Charl Butler said it was important to help out organizations like Transitions. "The important misson of getting people into a program, improving job skills, and getting them back into the community in a self-sustaining manner," said Butler when referring to the skills the clients of Transitions gain.

Transitions C.E.O. Craig Currey said "I'm really glad that AGfirst is in that giving spirit. We're going to put the money to good use."
