COLUMBIA (WACH) - A Richland County man has been arrested for assault and battery in connection with an Wednesday night attack.
About 11 p.m. Wednesday. Richland County deputies say Calip Canzater, 22, broke into a home on Crane Church Road. Canzater tried to shoot the victim but the gun jammed, but he used his gun to beat the home's occupant.
Canzater fled the scene, buut Richland County deputies soon caught him. He was taken to the Alvin S. Glenn detention center.
