COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- South Carolina investigators are learning more after two men were hit by a car and killed while fighting in a busy street.

Richland County Coroner Gary Watts identifies the men as 33-year-old Otis Starks of Columbia and 35-year-old Corey Trapp of Blythewood.

Officials at Shaw Air Force Base say Starks was a technical sergeant assigned to the base. He is survived by his wife and two children.

Watts says they were fighting in the street when they rolled into the path of a vehicle and were run over.

Watts said both men died at the scene early Saturday morning.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating. The driver of the car has not been charged.
