Police seek thief in Devine Street restaurant robbery

COLUMBIA (WACH)- The Columbia Police Department hopes the public will recognize an armed robbery suspect who is seen leaving the scene of the crime earlier this month.

The armed robbery occurred shortly after 9:00 p.m. at the Church’s Chicken located at 4720 Devine Street on October 9, 2012.  Police say, the unidentified suspect allegedly entered the store, pointed a handgun at several workers and demanded money.  

One of the workers was injured after slipping during the incident. He was treated at a local hospital for minor injuries.
After stealing an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect is seen on surveillance video leaving the restaurant and getting into a vehicle – possibly a green, 2-door Honda.

The man was last seen wearing a blue ‘hoodie’ with a blue bandana over his face, sunglasses and dark pants.
