COLUMBIA (WACH) - Police have made another arrest in connection with a September shooting at a Two Notch Road McDonald's restaurant.

Rayski Walters, 23, is charged with Unlawful Possession of a Pistol, Possession of a Firearm by a Person Convicted of a Violent Crime, and Possession of a Weapon during the Commission of a Violent Crime.
Walters is accused of being at the incident location at the time of the shooting.

Torance Lamar Peoples  was previously charged with Seven Counts of Attempted Murder, Possession of a Weapon during the Commission of a Violent Crime, Possession of a Firearm by a Person Convicted of a Violent Crime and Discharging a Firearm into an Occupied Conveyance.

Terrell Lamont Bethel was previously charged with Seven Counts of Attempted Murder, Possession of a Weapon during the Commission of a Violent Crime, Discharging a Firearm into an Occupied Conveyance, Drug Possession and Failure to Stop on Police Command.

On Saturday, September 15 shortly after 9 p.m., police say Peoples and Bethel fired a gun into a crowd at the McDonald’s restaurant located at 2911 Two Notch Road.
Preliminary information suggests that Peoples and Bethel were a part of at least two groups that were arguing in the parking lot.

Three people were hit by bullets.

Richland County Coroner Gary Watts says 20-year-old Steve McCoy of Elgin was killed in the shooting. An autopsy confirmed McCoy died from complications of a gunshot wound to the head.

The other victims were shot in the arm and hip. Police believed the groups were involved in a verbal and physical altercation that resulted in a shooting.

CPD are still investigating the circumstances of the shooting.

More arrests are pending.
