Bank robbery forces lockdown of local high school

FOREST ACRES, SC (WACH)- An early afternoon bank robbery forced a lockdown at a local  high school.

Lieutenant Bryan Hinson said a robber in a white shirt and navy blue dress  pants tried to rob the First Palmetto bank at on Forest Drive at the intersection of Falcon Drive.

The robbery led to A.C.Flora High School to go on lockdown, which has since been lifted, said Hinson. 

The suspect fled the bank on foot.  Hinson believes the suspect had a getaway car waiting.  Hinson did not say how much money was taken.
