Deputies on the lookout for suspects in Polo Road shooting

COLUMBIA (WACH)-  Deputies are searching for suspects involved in a shooting at Polo Road park in Northeast Columbia.

The Richland County Sheriff's Department is searching for multiple suspects for unlawfully discharging firearms. Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott said the Richland County Sheriff’s Department is aggressively searching for all involved with the shooting and following leads to determine who’s responsible.   
 

Richland County Leon Lott said just after 6:00 PM Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at Polo Road Park (930 Polo Road), deputies responded to a shots fired call.  Lott said that deputies determined 10-12 men were in the rear of the parking lot involved in an argument. Lott said the argument turned physical at which point gunshots were fired from the suspects. Sheriff Lott adds that witnesses were able to take photos of some of the suspects and the suspect vehicles as they fled the area.    
 

Sheriff Leon Lott stated that the vehicles are described as possibly a tan Dodge Durango SUV and a dark colored Chevrolet Blazer or Jimmy SUV with the body of the vehicle low to the ground with the rear window shot out. In addition, Sheriff Lott is also looking for the suspects who were driving a Silver Honda and another dark in color Chevrolet Blazer or Jimmy. Lott is asking for assistance in identifying and locating the suspects responsible.
