St. Matthews, SC (WACH)- Deputies are looking for a Ft. Jackson soldier not seen since Saturday.

Calhoun County Sheriff Thomas Summers confirms to WACH-Fox his office is investigating the disappearance of Sgt. Robert Larson. According to a Facebook page set up to find Larson,  he was last seen Saturday October 6th in the Calhoun County area.

Calhoun County sheriff’s deputies began investigating Sunday when his wife reported him missing on October 7. According to the Sheriff’s Office, Robert Charles Larson, 26, was last seen by his wife at their home in the Sandy Run Community in Calhoun County on Saturday, October, 6 around 7 p.m.

Larson is further described as six feet one inches tall, 190 pounds, with Brown hair and Hazel eyes. He was last seen driving his 2009 Black Jeep Wrangler 4-Door with South Carolina Tag PH5752.

Larson has completed several overseas tours in Iraq and Afghanistan and is a Purple Heart Recipient.

Sheriff Summers said his office is working closely with Army CID, SLED, and surrounding agencies in an effort to help locate Larson.

“We are very concerned about him at this point. This is not like him to not have contacted his family for this period of time,” said Sheriff Summers.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office at 803-874-2741.
