ALLENDALE, S.C. (AP) -- Officials at a South Carolina prison are slated to hold their second annual conference focusing on gang-related issues.

The two-day meeting is scheduled to kick off Thursday and is being hosted by the South Carolina Department of Corrections.

The conference, which is entitled "Rural Gangs of the Lowcountry," is being hosted by Allendale Correctional Institution, an all-male medium-security prison about 80 miles south of Columbia.
