COLUMBIA (WACH) -- A 12-year-old North Carolina girl who’s been missing since Monday has been found in Florida.

WCTI News in North Carolina reports Abigale Lefevers was found safe in a parking lot near Miami, along with the man accused of taking her, convicted sex offender Timothy Newman.

Her father reported Abigale missing to the Carteret County Sheriff’s Office Monday. He says when he woke up, she was gone.

The State Law Enforcement Division issued an Amber Alert for Lefevers when she disappeared. That alert was cancelled Wednesday night.
