SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (AP) -- Police in South Carolina are investigating the discovery of a woman's body in a car at a gasoline station.
Summerville authorities say 21-year-old Jasmine Marrone was found dead in the vehicle Sunday after a man created a disturbance at the station.
Capt. Jon Rogers says officers were called to the station around 7:30 a.m. to deal with a man who appeared to be intoxicated.
Police noticed the man had blood on his clothes, then officers found Marrone's body under a blanket in the car.
Investigators say 33-year-old James Randall Carpenter is charged with murder. He hasn't had a bond hearing, and it wasn't clear if he had a lawyer.
