COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- The University of South Carolina School of Law is sponsoring a discussion on the intersection of the rule of law, human rights and international business.

The two-day seminar is scheduled to begin Thursday, when there's a keynote address by Sir Michael Burton, justice of the High Court of England and Wales and treasurer of the Honourable Society of Gray's Inn. That event is free and open to the public.

Registration is required for Friday sessions on topics including China's approach to human rights in international business. South Carolina Supreme Court Chief Justice Jean Toal is slated to make closing remarks.

The symposium is co-sponsored by the USC School of Law and the university's Rule of Law Collaborative.
