COLUMBIA (WACH)- Two suspects accused of holding up a clothing store on Broad River Road are wanted by Richland County deputies.

The Richland County Sheriff's  Department is requesting the community’s help in locating Willie Harden Gray Jr, 28 wanted for 2 counts of Kidnapping, 3 counts of Armed Robbery, 1 count of Assault & Battery 1st degree.

Sheriff Leon Lott said that at 2:30 PM Monday, August 27, at In the Hood Fashions located at 1207 Broad River Road, Gray entered the store with an unknown suspect. The two assaulted the owner beating him in the upper body using his fist and pistol – Gray and the other suspect stole money from the register and clothes from the store, they also took the owner and clerks’ wallets, cell phones, and cash then fled the business.

Sheriff Leon Lott said Gray and the three unknown suspects stole a white gold chain with “In the Hood Fashions” emblem on it valued at $12,000.00, Nike Diamond Turf shoes $100.00, white, green and orange in color, and a Samsung Galaxy S2 cell phone, $250.00 white in color. Gray and the suspects left in a black Ford Taurus with Florida tags and a woman driver. 

Sheriff Leon Lott is asking for assistance in identifying the suspect responsible. To receive up to $1000 for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible, please call 1-800-CRIMESC.
