TAMPA, FL (WACH)-Republicans and RNC-goers are full steam ahead Tuesday after Monday's setback due to Tropical Storm Isaac.

Tuesday morning was a much sunnier scene across downtown Tampa, the day; Republicans are expected to nominate Mitt Romney as the Republican Presidential candidate and Paul Ryan as the Republican Vice Presidential candidate.

There are several speakers slated for Tuesday's Republican National Convention including, South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley and the keynote speaker, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.

According to WACH Fox's Darryl Hood, while Republicans take charge inside, protesters have taken up residence outside.

The Poor People's Economic Human Right's Campaign, just one group of approximately 10,000 protesters, expected to protest all week during the convention.

"I feel that we all live under the same roof," says protester Donald Butler "and we all live on the same floor so what we do on one side of the house, have to figure out before we do it how its going to effect the other side of the house."

Darryl Hood will report live from Tampa for the duration of the convention.  Look for his updates here at midlandsconnect.com as well as on Good Day Columbia and WACH Fox News at Ten.

Fraendy Clervaud and Katie McKee will give live reports from the Democratic National Convention September 3rd through the 7th.
