President Obama supporters in the Midlands showed their support Saturday.

Hundreds of residents waited in line at the president's Columbia headquarters on Lady Street. They were trying to get tickets for the upcoming Democratic National Convention in Charlotte.

Supporters arrived as early as 7 a.m. Organizers are also offering several charter buses to take residents up to the Queen City for the big event.

Supporters like Pat Noble say waiting in line was worth it.

"Just the opportunity to see the president give his acceptance speech, I think it is a once in a lifetime opportunity because it is so close to us in Charlotte. There is a lot of support for President Obame standing in line as long as we have."

The DNC this will be September 4-6. WACH Fox will be at both the Republican and Democratic National Convention.
