COLUMBIA (WACH)--Richland County deputies and the Columbia Police Department are investigating an afternoon shooting.

It happened Saturday afternoon at 1509 Fontaine Road around 3pm. 

Columbia Police Chief Randy Scott announced Sunday that two suspects have been arrested and charged with attempted murder.

49-year old David Martin and 55-year old Timothy Thompson Jr. were arrested in connection to the Saturday afternoon shooting.

According to Deputy Curtis Wilson there were several gunshots fired outside of the Margaret H. Miller School of Cosmeotology on Saturday.

Shots were fired at a car with two people inside and no one was injured.
