BEAUFORT, S.C. (WACH / AP) -- A 90-year-old Hilton Head Island man faces murder charges in connection with his wife’s death in June.
John Cross was charged on Thursday with the June 24 stabbing death of his wife, 84-year-old Page Arrington Cross.
According to authorities, Cross was found in the couple’s home with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head and cuts on his wrist
The prosecutor in the case, Duffie Stone said that the victim had stab wounds on her chest and cuts on her wrist.
Cross was given a $100,000 personal-recognizance bond on the condition that he stay in a Savannah medial facility for treatment.
