COLUMBIA (WACH) -- Columbia Police officials are investigating a body has found near the Statehouse.

Department spokeswoman Jennifer Timmons says a body was found Friday morning in the Trinity Episcopal Cathedral cemetery. 

The cemetery is located at the corner of Sumter and Gervais Streets, across the street from Statehouse grounds.

Chief Randy Scott says no foul play is suspected in the incident at this time.
