COLUMBIA (WACH)--Every two seconds in the U.S someone needs a blood donation.

Currently, there is an emergency need for blood donations of all types.

According to the American Red Cross, donations were down 10 perecent less than expected for June.

Lauren Way, Public Relations Manager at American Red Cross of Central South Carolina, joined Janet Parker on Good Day Columbia to talk about the current need and the upcoming 7th annual Drive for Life Blood Drive at the Village at Sandhill.
