Children will be provided free lunch at more than 100 sites in Richland and Lexington counties this summer through the Seamless Summer Feeding Program.
COLUMBIA (WACH) - Children will be provided free lunch at more than 100 sites in Richland and Lexington counties this summer through the Seamless Summer Feeding Program.
Officals with Richland One announced Tuesday that 132 sites including churches, parks and child care centers will participate in the federally funded program this summer.
“Although Richland One is coordinating this program, we want to stress that these meals are available to any child, not just those that live in Richland One,” said Student Nutrition Services Director Imogene Clarke. “In addition to sites throughout Columbia, we have sites in Blythewood, Elgin, Irmo, Hopkins, Gaston and other communities.”
