Arrest made in cigarette theft

ORANGEBURG, SC (WACH) - The Orangeburg Sheriff's Office has arrested one man wanted in connection with a convenience store burglary. A second man is still wanted in the theft.

Sheriff Leory Ravenell says John Junior Adams, 41, was located by investigators and is charged with burglary.

Deputies have not been able to find Little Eddie Moore, 43, who is also accused of being involved in the crime.

According to Ravenell, Adams is currently in jail and is refusing to leave his cell for a bond hearing.

Adams and Moore are accused of forcefully enterring a convenience store on Old Saint Matthews Road and taking cigarettes around 3 a.m. on May 16.

Two people were captured on surveillance video the night of the burglary.

Anyone with information on the wehereabouts of Moore is asked to contact CrimeStoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
