LEXINGTON CO. -- Lexington Co. (WACH) A motorcycle accident Saturday night has resulted in the death of a Gaston man.
Lamar Wayne Chavis, 32, was traveling northbound on Whetstone Rd. toward Swansea when he hit the passenger side of a 2012 Mustang that had just pulled out from a stop sign on Woodford Road; according to Lexington County Coroner Harry O. Harmon.
Chavis was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene. An autopsy will be performed to find the exact cause of death.
The accident is still being investigated by the Lexington County Coroner's Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
