AIKEN, SC (WACH) - A toddler drowned in a family swimming pool Tuesday evening, according to the Aiken County Coroner.
Coroner Tim Carlton says 2-year-old Calleigh Campbell was found in the pool around 7:15 p.m.
The girl was discovered in the pool by her father minutes after she "disappeared briefly" from a family gathering, according to Carlton.
She was pronounced dead at Georgia Health Sciences University Pediatric Shock Trauma Tuesday night.
An autopsy confirmed the cause of death as drowning.
