COLUMBIA (WACH) - The Columbia Police Department is searching for a vehicle that may have been involved in a murder.
Investigators are searching for a white SUV, possiby a Chevy Tahoe, that witnesses reported seeing in the area of the 4500 to 4700 block of North Main Street around 2 a.m. Saturday, April 21 after hearing gun shots.
According to the department, the vehicle may have dark-tinted windows.
The vehicle was captured on surveillance video from a distance.
Officers are investiating the motive in the shooting that killed 22-year-old Derrick Lee Conners.
The Richland County Coroner's office determined Conners died from complications of a gunshot wound.
Investigators do not believe the shooting was random. At this time, it is considered an isolated incident.
